We landed in Bergen yesterday and found it to be an incredible flurry of activity; more tourists than at any other time of the year – Syttende Mai is the big holiday. We are so excited to be in Alesund for May 17. We’ll be greeted at the port by Gustav and have coffee and walk around town. We checked into the ship and relaxed until dinner. Our room is small but super functional. We are looking forward to getting a good night of sleep and partaking of the festivities tomorrow; seeing everybody in their Bunad https://no.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bunad And seeing Gustav. We will visit with Annabjorg and Erling who are slightly older than us (Gustav’s Son and Daughter-in-law) when we come back to Alesund to spend a few days.
